Dear Brothers & Sisters,

With Experiencing Grief entering the layout process, we have been thinking whether it would be a good idea to ask for recommendations. Dr. H. Norman Wright has written more than 70 books over the years and is well-known in the US. However, it is possible that only a part of Christians in Taiwan know him, thus celebrity/expert recommendations seem necessary. Our former president suggested asking Dr. Yi-Nuo Shih (psychiatric therapist, assistant professor of Department of Occupational Therapy, Fu-Jen Catholic University and amateur writer). Through the former president, Dr. Shih understood that we do not have enough budget; yet he is still willing to write a preface to recommend, which we feel very thankful. Then came the next question: which celebrity should we ask? Our exclusive distributor suggested Sun Yue (actor and renowned volunteer for charity works) and David Tao (Taiwanese Golden Melody Award-winning singer-songwriter). Nonetheless, in what way can a small non-profit organization like us approach the two household names?

We prayed and believed if it is God’s will, He will open the way. In silence, we thought of Michelle and Pastor Jean, who are friends with Sun Yue and David Tao respectively. With their help, Mr. Sun, in ill-health, read the book overnight and replied yes the next morning. And David Tao, who is on overseas concert tour, said he will read the book on November 20th.

The God we have relied on once again performed a miracle.
Below are a few updates:

Thanksgiving--

1. Sun Yue and David Tao promised to recommend Experiencing Grief.

2. 80% of the translation of Tear Soup has been completed.

3. Narration, music and 25 illustrations of Experiencing Grief have been completed.

4. All proofreading and trail-reading of Where Do I Go From Here? have been completed.

5. 35% of the proofreading of The Church in God’s Program has been completed.

Prayer requests—

1. The gift book Experiencing Grief (the end of November), and the following two books Tear Soup, Where Do I Go From Here? can be published as scheduled and become best-sellers so that readers can be blessed from the messages conveyed within them.

2. Those who have yet to recover from a great loss can buy themselves the gift book Experiencing Grief. Those who do not know how to comfort others can learn from this book and buy it for people who need them.

3. Please pray the translation of Tear Soup and Letting Gog Be Judge can be precise, fluent and elegant.

4. The Church in God’s Program has entered the proofreading/trail reading process. Please pray that God gives heavenly wisdom to Jane/Paul so that every word/sentence that has to be revised will be amended correctly and beautifully.

5. 2014 Conferences. Robert Saucy, Ph.D. (the author of The Church in God’s Program) is not able to come to Taiwan due to his physical condition. Please pray that God will prepare a suitable speaker. Please also pray that He will show when to hold the special conference led by Douglas Hayward Ph.D. (the author of Spiritual Warfare for Christians) and Tom Sappington (the author of Letting God Be Judge), and when is the proper time for Walt Russell, Ph.D. & Marty Russell’s second visit to Taiwan. Please pray that God gives us enough manpower and financial support to hold these conferences.

6. Please pray that the books and DVDs of Lifting Hands Network will become a tremendous blessing to brothers and sisters in Christ.

7. We need approximately US$3,500 per month to sustain the normal operation. Please pray that God will provide.
