Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Jane Hsu was invited to open the "Parent-Child Relationship" course and offer counseling services in Jakarta between March 31 and April 18. She covered 13 topics between April 3 to 5 and April 11 to 12, and the weekdays were scheduled for counseling.
A lot of technical problems occurred on April 3 (the first day of the course), including computer and microphone. Jane lost her voice after the course, and had a sore throat. More than 50 percent of the attendees were non-believers and the course received very good feedback. They were excited and said they would invites their friends and husbands to attend.
Technical problems were sorted on April 4, yet thirty minutes prior to the afternoon and evening session, downpours came and both sessions were forced to start at a later time due to traffic jams.
The session went smoothly on April 5, and some non-believers told her they were so lucky to attend the course. Some women, also mothers, began to loosen up and wear a smile on their face. Seeing that the Muslim women listened attentively and identified with the biblical points I mentioned, she was amazed at how wonderful our God is.
There were all kinds of problems during the counseling sessions. Those having trouble with their own biological families cried really bad, yet returned home happily.
In the middle of the April 11 session, a new friend who just heard of the course rushed from her Catholic church, and said it helped her a lot. The person who received counseling in the evening was tear-stained when the evil spirits were cast out. Seeing that a sad and miserable face now glittered with rays of hope, Jane felt all the efforts were worthwhile.
April 12 was the last day of the course, and there were still new comers. Jane finished the session and counseling, and went to a sister's house to do spirit cleansing. When she finally returned to her residence in midnight, she got phone calls from the pastor talking about people who said they really needed counseling. Jane could only reply she was exhausted both physically and mentally, and she had already done the best she could have. Please pray for these new friends, and hopefully they will become our family in Christ some day in the near future. Jane believe our Lord, who is full of mercy, will prepare for their needs.
