In early May, I attended a pastors' prayer gathering in Keelung, my birthplace and the home of my mother church. During that gathering, I heard a little-known story that has stayed with me ever since.
About 400 years ago, missionaries preparing to travel from Keelung to Japan were tragically killed before they could continue their ministry. As I reflected on this history and the challenges Keelung still faces today—including suicide, depression, and broken families—I felt a deep burden to pray for God's healing and restoration in this city.
That evening, I found myself praying late into the night, asking God to heal wounded hearts, restore families, and open doors for Lifting Hands Network to serve schools, churches, and communities in Keelung. My prayer is that God would allow us to be a blessing to this city through suicide prevention, emotional care, and spiritual support.
Thanksgiving:
1. I enjoyed meaningful fellowship with pastors at the Tamsui and Linkou prayer gatherings. The books I brought were well received, and additional orders were placed afterward.
2. Recent articles addressing challenges facing churches and offering practical responses received more than 794 views, reflecting strong interest among ministry leaders.
3. A series of graphics based on the concept of “self-talk” from The Anxiety Reset received encouraging feedback and was widely shared among pastors and readers.
Prayer Requests:
1. Please pray as I briefly introduce our publishing ministry at four pastors' fellowship gatherings this month (June 9, 18, 24, and 25). May God grant favor, wisdom, and meaningful connections.
2. Our Depression Support Group Facilitator Training and Trauma Survivor Support Group Facilitator Training are scheduled for July. Each program still needs one or two additional participants to meet the minimum enrollment requirement. Please pray that both trainings can launch successfully.
3. Pray that God will keep me sensitive to the needs of this generation and enable me to write articles that speak to people's hearts and reach those who do not yet know Christ.
4. Pray that God will open more doors for us to serve schools, businesses, churches, and communities through training, speaking engagements, and educational resources.
5. Pray that the books and resources we publish will continue to bring healing to relationships and help people experience God's love more deeply.
Thank you for your faithful prayers, encouragement, and partnership. We are grateful to serve together in God's work of bringing hope, healing, and restoration to those in need.
