People asked Jane why she spent so much time and efforts publishing The Church in God's Program. Though it has been a well-reputed book for 40 years in the US, it certainly won't get as much attention in Taiwan. People also asked why she went the extra mile to invite Mark R. Saucy Ph.D., the systematic theology professor of Talbot School of Theology to Taiwan to hold an intensive course. What's the point of spending so many resources to promote this book and the speaker? She can't get any benefits anyway.

Indeed, Jane can't get any benefits from this. What's the purpose?

"Ecclesiology" is like the framework of church, and only when the framework is robust would the church function properly. "Ecclesiology" is a whole-semester course in US, Europe, Japan and South Korea, however, it is usually incorporated into the "systematic theology" course (with a brief mention) in Taiwan.

Think about this. One needs to score 600 in TOFEL before he can apply for Talbot, and that doesn't guarantee he will get admitted. Each credit costs US$ 538, and the whole course takes 2 to 3 credits. Now, the 3-day intensive course, plus two textbooks and on-site English to Chinese interpretation, only cost NT$ 2,500 (which is worth more than NT$ 100,000, if air tickets /accommodation are taken into consideration), and every brother and sister serving the Christ will be able to receive theology training of a world-renowned seminary. Isn't that great?

Jane deeply believe the 3-day intensive course will benefit every reader of The Church in God's Program and participant. What do you think?

Thanksgiving--
1. The Church in God's program was published on schedule.
2. Every participant of the "Walk of Grief" workshop in Yilan, held on January 10 to 11, expressed that they have learned valuable lessons. Many participants cried, and their year-long losses and grief were comforted by God.
3. Brothers and sisters had very good feedback for the January 11 sermon by Jane at Yilan Bread of Life Church. Many people felt the presence of God's glory.
4. Letting God Be Judge has entered the proofreading phase.
5. The translation of Man and Woman in Church Ministry has been completed.
6. Neihu Xinsheng Church is willing to give us some time to find a new office.

Prayer Requests--
1. Please pray that seminaries and Christian institutions in Taiwan are willing to co-host the special conference of ecclesiology.
2. Please pray that God will use the Church in God's program to bless seminaries, pastors, and brothers and sisters serving the Christ in Taiwan.
3. Please pray that God shows when is the proper time for Tom Sappington, Ph.D. (the author of Letting God Be Judge) to hold a special conference in Taiwan, and that He gives us enough manpower and financial support for the conference.
4. Please pray that more joint-prayer meetings in different counties/cities of Taiwan will be willing to co-organize “Walk out of Grief” workshop.
5. Please pray that God will use “Walk out of Grief” workshop to help churches in Taiwan to establish grief & loss of spouse ministries so that brothers & sisters will be able to empathize with those who are grieving and lead them to Lord.
6. The office we are currently using is leased by Neihu Xinsheng Church for free, and the office is due this month to growing number of church members. Please pray that God will provide a new office for us.
7. Please pray that the books and DVDs of Lifting Hands Network will become a tremendous blessing to brothers and sisters in Christ.
8. We need approximately US$ 3,297 per month to sustain the normal operation. Please pray that God will provide.
