Thank you for praying for Dr. Robert. L. Saucy, the author of The Church in God's Program. We're sorry to inform you that Dr. Saucy has passed away on March 12 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident, at the age of 84. Talbot School of Theology (under Biola University), which he taught at, will hold a memorial service for him on March 29, 2 to 4 PM. Please pray that God will comfort his wife Nancy, his son Mark, his daughter Brenda, and many other coworkers and friends. Please also pray that God will use the memorial service to glorify His name.

I was ready to go to bed when I received his son Mark R. Saucy's e-mail, and at the instant I didn't want to sleep anymore. I was thinking over what Dr. Saucy had said, his presence in the office, campus and classroom, as well as his burden for God's Kingdom, his passion for people, and dreams he had yet to accomplish…

When I heard the news that Dr. Saucy was in emergency operation, I asked God repeatedly if it was possible, I would have like to give my remaining years to him. This will make a bigger contribution for God's Kingdom. However, God was silent. Later, when I was quiet with God, a question came to my mind: "Do you think Jesus' 33 years in the word were too short?" This time, I was speechless.

We don't know what will become of tomorrow. Let's learn to live for the Lord as today is the last day, and every serving opportunity the last one as well. May we offer our best to the Lord.
