One night, I prayed, “ Lord, I am willing to be used anytime, to do whatever you want me to do. Please use me.” Little did I know that He’d be using me when I least expected it.
One Wednesday God woke me up at 4:44AM and asked me to pray. I kind of hesitated and wondered why not wait for a while. God reminded me of my prayer before, so I kneeled down and pray for the kingdom of God.
Late Friday night, the Lord woke me up again. I looked at my bedside clock. It was 2:30 am. I was surprised I couldn’t sleep because I usually sleep very soundly through the night. Then I heard some voices coming from outside my window. It seems like a young man and woman were having an argument in the park next to my apartment. I heard the woman shout, “I just want to leave. Please let me go.” When I went to see what was happening, I saw a policeman leading the man away. The woman was left on her own. I felt God telling me to talk to the woman, so I invited her back to my apartment.
As I started to comfort her, her tears began to flow. After a while, the Holy Spirit began to touch her heart, and soon she began to confess her sins. I shared Gospel with her and invited her to receive Jesus as her Savior. She agreed. The time she finished her first prayer was 4:44am which is exactly the same time that God called me to pray on Wednesday.
Psalm 121:4 says, “Indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” God knew that this girl needed him in this dark night, and He decided to use me to help her.
He does not sleep because He loves people so much. He is always watching out for us.
